Kingston's Finest Annual Visual Artists Show
From scores of Kingston's emerging and established artists' entries, a two artist jury will select this years' finest works.This year's jurists are Shirley Erskine, SCA, CFS, ISEA and Ricardo Gomez, local Kingston artist and instructor.

Starting on May 6th, the 4th Annual "juried arts salon" will once again turn Kingston's beautiful Wilson room at the Kingston Public Library into a stunning art gallery. The show will feature, with this years' winners' pieces, works from a wide spectrum of celebrated and up and coming new Kingston artists. The Kingston Arts Council is the organization responsible for this highly successful Salon, held each May for the past four years.
As part of the three week show, the KAC is delighted to invite the public to the Opening Reception on Tuesday, May 10th from 6:30 to 8:30.
This year's jurors will be Shirley Erskine, an internationally known artist, joined by Kingston painter and instructor, Ricardo Gomez. Erskine's paintings have been exhibited extensively, and garnered many awards. She was recognized as Mississauga's Visual Artist of the Year in 1997 and her most recent show in Paris was entitled "The Colours of Canada" .

Fuel's 7th Regional Juried Exhibition highlights the
practices of artists working in the Kingston region,
showcasing a variety of conceptual streams in diverse
mediums. This highly anticipated annual event celebrates the
creativity of local artists and their contributions to
Kingston's vibrant culture. Andy Fabo
is a Toronto artist, critic, curator, and visual arts
educator. He has worked in drawing, painting, bookworks,
video, installation, and digital media. In spite
of the spectrum of his creative explorations, he believes
drawing and collage to be the primary pillars of his
artistic practice. He exhibits with SPIN Gallery in
Toronto. Bill
Weedmark: "Repose" and "Porcupine" "I chose
these works because they fit the theme of mortality and
viscerality that seemed to be building for the smaller room.
I liked how they played on early 20th century modern
photography but became something else when you realized that
